That’s why at The Center for Alexandria's Children (The Center), our dedicated team does the HeartWork every day, for every child to prevent child abuse in our community so we can end it. Protecting, advocating for, and healing our children takes all of us.
Your donation helps ensure The Center is able to continue providing resources that not only protect but empower families. Programs like our proprietary Learn&Play Groups™ strengthen child/parent bonds through play-based learning and are predicated on leading developmental research. Our new initiative, (with The Fund for Alexandria’s Children), AXL Closet provides everyday essentials to families in crisis.

So many of us have great childhood memories. Maybe you remember family dinners and picnics, playing with friends or just feeling safe and loved. For some children in our community, however, fear and uncertainty are their everyday reality. Healthy children have a better chance of growing up to be healthy adults, and healthy adults build strong communities — like ours.
